Gemma Smith's UNI Challenge

1 Girl, 1 Unicycle, 3 Months, 600 Meters

Gemma Smith has been a higher apprentice with Alpha Manufacturing for almost four years, having studied manufacturing and production engineering at Derby University whilst working within Alpha’s design team. In May this year, she will finally graduate and become a fully fledged design engineer and Gemma thought “what better way to celebrate than ride a Unicycle through Alpha’s Factory”

Having never ridden a Unicycle before, Gemma has just under three months to learn and has begun practicing at the weekends and evenings. She will be keeping a diary of her progress, which will be shared on the Alpha website and social media.

Gemma’s main goal however, is to raise as much as possible for Alpha’s charity partner Katharine House Hospice through donations on her Just Giving page.
