Apprenticeships with Alpha

Specialising in precision sheet metal fabrication, Alpha utilize the latest in manufacturing technology and innovation to supply automotive, agricultural, lighting, aerospace and defence customers. Apprentices can expect an exciting and varied career with Alpha where they will learn cutting edge manufacturing practices using the very latest technology, building up a wealth of experience and skills.

How an Alpha Apprenticeship works:

Studying towards an NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations, students will gain a basic understanding of engineering principles in such areas as CNC laser and punching, CNC press brakes, bench fitting, welding and fabrication.

During the first 6 months of the level 2 apprenticeship, students will be studying full time at the JCB academy. The following 6 months will be spent working 4 days per week at Alpha manufacturing with one day at the JCB academy
Following successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, candidates that demonstrate the necessary level of commitment and desire to succeed could progress to a level 4 (foundation degree) qualification.
