Alpha Manufacturing, a member of the Bri-Stor Group, is a privately owned business fabricating sheet metal in the UK. Alpha designs and produces both sheet metal work components and assemblies.

Established in 1989, the company now employs over 100 people. Utilising industry leading technology, Alpha Manufacturing have facilities to design, prototype and manufacture a diverse range of products all in their purpose built sheet metal fabrication factory in the heart of Staffordshire.

Forklift Driver




Responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties.

Forklift Driver Duties:

  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles
  • Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the facility
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
  • Checking loads are secure
  • Stacking empty pallets
  • Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment
  • Observe and comply with quality, environment, health, and safety procedures

Forklift Driver Skills:

  • Possession of Counterbalance Forklift licence
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-skilled team
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Good coordination

Quality Inspector

CMM - Copy

Responsible for the support of the Quality team's inspection activities to ensure customer protection. This includes performing a variety of inspection checks to ensure product quality.

Quality Inspector Job Duties:

Working as part of a quality inspection team:

  • Complete all product quality checks as required.
  • Ensure that all data sheets are completed correctly and delivered to the Quality Manager.
  • Highlight any existing or forecasted problems to the Quality Manager.
  • Ensure that all quality tools or checking jigs are used and maintained.
  • Perform tests such as cross hatch paint, paint thickness, gloss level, taptite and nut torque tests.
  • Record all test data as required.
  • Complete quarantine HOLD label and attach to reject parts.
  • Perform daily audits and complete final Inspection audits on assembled parts.
  • Support a high level of housekeeping and environment improvements within team area which may include painting the floors, walls and benches on a regular basis.
  • Support best practice techniques, such as 5S, SMED, Process flows, SOP's.

Quality Inspector Skills:

  • Experience of end of line inspection
  • Experience using CMM inspection equipment
  • Strong team work skills, good communication and reliability.
  • Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision while meeting all quality inspection requirements

Internal Sales Executive




Responsible for managing relationships with existing customers. Overseeing the processing of customer orders, liaising with customers to ensure that they have access to all relevant information regarding new / existing orders. Communicating lead times, controlling drawings issues and prioritising the enquiry bank.


  • Communicate lead times of current orders to customers
  • Ensure that any queries from production are resolved with the customer.
  • Log enquiries and ensure that they are prioritised accordingly.
  • Keep regular contact with customers to ensure that we maximise the opportunity.
  • Control drawing issues and ensure that product releases are handled in a timely manner.
  • Weekly liaison with customers to advise of our specific packaging requirements.
  • Attend the daily production meetings and carry out any actions that are generated.
  • Relate any customer requirements to the Planning team to ensure that the order book is as current as possible.
  • Provide regular reports when required for the Daily Operations and Weekly KPI meeting.
  • Attend the Daily Operations, Contract Review, APQP and KPI meeting where required and ensure that any actions are communicated / completed.
  • Research new sales opportunities in line with the Sales budget.
  • Any other duties relevant to the role of Internal Sales.

CNC Punch Operative

Punch Operative


Operate CNC punch machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working from technical drawings and dimensional specifications punching sheet metal parts as instructed by supervisors. This position may include all or some of the duties and responsibilities listed below.

CNC Punch Operator Job Duties:

  • Operate the CNC Turret Punch and other machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators.
  • Select proper die clearances based on material requirements.
  • Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
  • Maintain punches and dies as needed.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Follow all company rules and policies.
  • Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Assemble items as instructed by shift leader or floor supervisor.
  • Uphold all ISO and legislative standards applicable to the responsibilities above.

CNC Punch Operator Skills:

  • Solid background working with sheet metal.
  • Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way.
  • Flexible schedule is required; this position requires shift work as well as some weekend work.
  • Strong team work skills, good communication and reliability.
  • Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision while meeting all product quality requirements.
