Laser Operator

Laser Operator

Responsibilities:
Operate Laser machines (Bystronic & Trumpf) as instructed by supervisors to produce a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings. This position may include all or some of the duties and responsibilities listed below.

Laser Operator Job Duties:

• Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters
   to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
•  Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for
   use
• Work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing
   priorities
• Keep work area clean and organised
• Follow all company rules and quality standards
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on
   the given task
• Work with team members to maximise productivity and
   efficiency
• Operate machinery used in the production process or assist
   machine operators
• Uphold all ISO standards applicable to the
   responsibilities above
• Consistently produce usable products that meet the
   dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings

Laser Operator Skills:

• Experience using CNC Laser machines
• Solid background working with sheet metal
• Knowledge of tooling machine maintenance
• Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminium,
   Steel and stainless steel, copper and brass
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to multitask and prioritise in an effective way
• Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision
   while meeting all product quality requirements
• Ability to use a tape measure and calliper

Internal Sales Executive

Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing relationships with existing customers. Overseeing the processing of customer orders, liaising with customers to ensure that they have access to all relevant information regarding new / existing orders. Communicating lead times, controlling drawings issues and prioritising the enquiry bank.

Duties

  • Communicate lead times of current orders to customers
  • Ensure that any queries from production are resolved with the customer.
  • Log enquiries and ensure that they are prioritised accordingly.
  • Keep regular contact with customers to ensure that we maximise the opportunity.
  • Control drawing issues and ensure that product releases are handled in a timely manner.
  • Weekly liaison with customers to advise of our specific packaging requirements.
  • Attend the daily production meetings and carry out any actions that are generated.
  • Relate any customer requirements to the Planning team to ensure that the order book is as current as possible.
  • Provide regular reports when required for the Daily Operations and Weekly KPI meeting.
  • Attend the Daily Operations, Contract Review, APQP and KPI meeting where required and ensure that any actions are communicated / completed.
  • Research new sales opportunities in line with the Sales budget.
  • Any other duties relevant to the role of Internal Sales.

CNC Punch Operative

Punch Operative

Responsibilities:

Operate CNC punch machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working from technical drawings and dimensional specifications punching sheet metal parts as instructed by supervisors. This position may include all or some of the duties and responsibilities listed below.

CNC Punch Operator Job Duties:

  • Operate the CNC Turret Punch and other machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators.
  • Select proper die clearances based on material requirements.
  • Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
  • Maintain punches and dies as needed.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Follow all company rules and policies.
  • Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Assemble items as instructed by shift leader or floor supervisor.
  • Uphold all ISO and legislative standards applicable to the responsibilities above.

CNC Punch Operator Skills:

  • Solid background working with sheet metal.
  • Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way.
  • Flexible schedule is required; this position requires shift work as well as some weekend work.
  • Strong team work skills, good communication and reliability.
  • Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision while meeting all product quality requirements.

Press Brake Operator

We are looking for experienced and skilled press brake operators to work within a highly professional shop floor environment. We offer upto £13.00 per hour pay for the right candidates for this role dependand on hours/ shift pattern.

Responsibilities:

Operate Press brake machines and support the production team by assembling parts, operating machinery, punching or sawing of metal products as instructed by supervisors and to a high standard.
Produce a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings.This position may include all or some of the duties and responsibilities listed below.

Duties:

Select proper punches and dies based on material thickness and type
Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use
Work in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities
Keep work area clean and organised
Follow all company rules and quality standards
Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
Work with team members to maximise productivity and efficiency
Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators
